Maintenance

  • CUTTER BUNDLE REPLACEMENT:

    • Install COTTER PIN & WASHER (28M), from both ends of SPINDLE (24M-1 or 2ME-1). Cutter tips must point in direction of rotation.

    • Slide CUTTER BUNDLE (90M or 90ME) and CUTTER BUNDLE FELT (29M) from SPINDLE.

    • Slide new CUTTER BUNDLE FELT & CUTTER BUNDLES on SPINDLE, with large round hole facing side plate. CUTTER TIPS must point in the direction of rotation.

    • Replace COTTER PINS & WSHR.

     

  • LUBRICATION:

    • Check oil (1245) in Gear Housing after every 8 hours of operation. Remove OIL SCREW (4M) With Tool sitting level add 1245 GEAR OIL through top screw hole until oil starts running out of LOWER PLUG hole. Then replace Screw & Plug.
